What is TransJam?

TransJam is a Java based server that allows people to jam together, or play games together, over the Internet. Visitors can chat while interacting.

Note that WebDrum, Eternal Music and Aperture were digitally signed on 7/16/14. So they should now work without having to lower the security settings in your browser.

Jam with Others Using the WebDrum

The WebDrum is a drumbox that can be shared by several people over the Internet. You can chat with other people while editing drum patterns and listening to music that you create together. No musical experience is necessary.

Use your Voice to Play Auracle

A team of fellows, led by Max Neuhaus, has created a voice driven, interactive, collaborative instrument called Auracle. Working from a converted palace in Stuttgart Germany, they have used JSyn and TransJam technology along with LPC analysis, neural nets, evolutionary strategies and other tricks to create an engaging sonic environment.

Eternal Network Music

Chris Brown and John Bischoff have created two interactive music pieces as part of a historical retrospective of the Hub. The Hub was a pioneering network computer music band whose work inspired the development of the TransJam server.
